Grant even adjusted the cocktail recipes based on our personal taste. We had drinks in the speakeasy two nights of our stay, and the bartenders (Grant and Colin) were knowledgeable. Breakfast quiche and muffins were locally made and delicious, press pot coffee in the rooms was freshly roasted from a local roaster, and the additional package my husband purchased was also locally sourced and gorgeous. We had an issue with our original room choice - NOT the fault of the hotel - and Sarah not only cheerfully allowed us to change rooms, she actually let us choose based on what was available. Everyone went out of their way to make guests feel welcome cared for - check-in included a personal welcome with suggestions for exploring the area, offer of a hot or cold drink, and snacks (which are available all day in the lobby), and an orientation to the inn. Really nice small boutique hotel with OUTSTANDING customer service! Everything was spotless, well-maintained, unique decor with tons of special touches, but what stood out above all the rest was the attention to detail by the staff. Whether you play individually or join tournament action, good times are always rolling in the U.P.
